The Job's Mission

The senior warehouse assistant will be expected to act as a deputy for the Supervisor/manager of their department, leading by example and assisting in the overall running of the team. This will include helping to manage the daily workload and tasks, assisting in ensuring that processes are in place and being followed, opportunities are identified for improvement and then actioned upon, and engagement is part of the day to day culture. The senior warehouse assistant will act as a point of escalation to help in the resolution of issues and training of new operatives/specialists.

The senior warehouse assistant will be expected to help to assist in ensuring a “Best in Class” organisation is created and maintained through identifying and assisting in the implementation of solutions to further develop, maintain and improve customer satisfaction, reduce cost and optimise inventory.

Key Activities & Accountabilities

  • Receipt and entry of Stock Items into ERP system.
  • Resolve and log discrepancies in deliveries from Suppliers.
  • Preform putaway to stock.
  • Preparation and dispatch of customer orders.
  • Administration of necessary transportation documents.
  • Transport booking of none standard orders.
  • Receipt of returned items.
  • Quality check incomings returns.
  • Process incoming returns to stock.
  • Update and maintain return data.
  • Follow the current standard by following the SOP’s and working instructions.
  • Continuously improving current standard.
  • Actively participate in 5S activities and maintain 5S Standards.

  • Forwarding item and related documents for product complaints and recalls to the manufacturer.
  • Entering non conforming items to quarantine.
  • Expiry date checks.
  • Investigate customer complaints.
  • Act to appropriately solve upcoming daily issues. Protect our customers.
  • Ensure lot traceability on all inventory transactions.
  • Perform cycle counting according to agreed procedure
  • To act according to company policies and compliance rules to withhold Company Image.
  • Actively rotated between workstations to prevent work injuries.
  • Keeping the warehouse clean.

  • Stock Accuracy on lot level

Education 

  • Swedish and English both oral and written.
  • High school
  • Forklift truck training
  • Good IT-knowledge (E.g. Microsoft Office, ERP knowledge)

Experience 

  • Minimum 5 years within Warehouse and/or logistics
  • Have good IT experience preferably with change management
  • Lean and six sigma experience
