What you will do

The Segmentation Senior Specialist is fully proficient and experienced in at least one of the arthroplasty procedures offered by Stryker Mako, their experience is leveraged to support business needs; providing first level intervention for all issues that occur during their shift, working directly with assigned Team Leader and Segmentation Manager for continuous process improvement, and providing one on one guidance with trainees.

Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Provide first level supervision of a team of Pre-Operative Surgical Planning specialists responsible for providing CT segmentation and pre-operative planning services
  • Set and adjust Segmentation Workflow based on direction of Team Lead & Scheduler
  • Set and adjust MDI Tier 1 Targets based Team Lead & Scheduler
  • Well versed in KPI’s and the heijunka process making sure lead time and on time delivery to the customer is met.
  • Works directly with managers to flex resources as business need dictates
  • Continue to drive continuous improvement into the workflow and work environment
  • Provides continuous communication flow from shift to shift
  • Provide inputs for updating Work Instructions as necessary
  • Serves as a primary onboarding partner for a new trainee, responsible for trainee progress and accurate reporting of progress to the Production Scheduler and Manager
  • Generates and participates in discussions that lead to strategy enhancement, continuous business improvement.
  • Fields hotline calls and emails from Mako Product Specialists (MPS’) in the field to resolve troubleshooting issues and emergent cases as necessary
  • Continue to monitor/audit all workflow processes; providing status and recommendation action when appropriate
