Job Description

The Senior Sales Support Specialist role is responsible for supporting Sustainability Solutions’ sales team and external customers by up-selling product, maximizing order fulfillment, and analyzing regional product receipts.  This position is also responsible for effectively communicating with internal and external customers and applying a broad knowledge of principles, practices and procedures to difficult activities with minimal supervision.  This individual must influence both internal and external customers and exhibit an unwavering commitment to excellent customer service.  This role will work closely with Sales and Marketing to deliver reporting solutions and a world class customer experience.

  • Educate and train internal and external customers on supply chain and ordering process
  • Key driver for delivering and partnering to drive sales through cross-selling, AI and demand transfers
  • Highlight customer insights, competitive service advantages, and recommendations to drive customer efficiencies and process improvements
  • Utilize JDE, order generation process and logistics knowledge to resolve problems, instruct on procurement model, coordinate and assist with implementations and trouble-shoot
  • Partner with sales /customers on order fulfillment and customer strategy while advising, applying and educating on surplus/constrained inventory, system requirements/limitations, ERP needs and on-demand platforms
  • Drive customer adoption of preferred supplier model/PV to execute supply chain integration for maximum device savings
  • Partner with sales and accounting to maintain customer records and new customers by updating NAIF and managing/advising on process and documents
  • Monitor customer touch points to alert sales team of actions necessary to drive sustainability across all programs and advise on product opportunity
  • Partner with sales leadership to analyze buying trends and maximize revenue opportunity- provide regional updates-product opportunity, up-selling, revenue gaps and business unit opportunity with DNR, Switch-to’s and demand transfers
  • Build formal and informal relationships with customers and internal stakeholders
  • Responds to customer questions efficiently and effectively using active listening, personalized techniques and focusing on priority customers and ROI--implement best practices/create ease of business
  • Lead/reconcile and train on month/quarter end process
  • Coverage for Commercial Analytics team as needed
  • Qualifications
  • 5+ years in inside sales, strategic services, customer service or related area strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Business Objects
  • Established track record for achieving challenging goals and adapting to change
  • Excellent organizational and people skills with an ability to openly convey information to team members in a timely, concise manner
  • Demonstrated experience in transforming sales data into meaningful information
  • Must be process-oriented, customer focused and highly motivated with results driven abilities
  • Ability to set priorities, multi-task, and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently, influence, without close supervision, as well as part of a team

Education and/or Experience

  • B.S./B.A. degree preferred or equivalent experience
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite with strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills is required
  • Advanced knowledge of JD Edwards and/or applicable ERP Sales Order module experience is preferred
