Job Description

Will work within a cross divisional team, with responsibility to include but not limited to the following:

  • Responsibility for sustainability projects related to biomaterial products as assigned by the organisation, including scoping, approval, change management, budgeting, specification, execution, qualification and operational handover as appropriate.
  • Providing technical leadership on all product and process issues
  • Provide technical/scientific support and documentation associated with material specifications, device properties and process related items required for change management, NC/CAPA troubleshooting, support SofHA rationale and complaint investigation.
  • Co-ordinate activities with external interfaces which include contractors, suppliers and customers.
  • Observing the Quality Management Systems and Environment Health and Safety (EHS) requirements on site at all times
  • Undertaking, where appropriate, a Subject Matter Expert’s role for Regulatory Audit purposes
  • Actively interfacing with cross-functional team members and third-party vendors, and always practicing good team work in support of achieving the business targets
  • Drive, support or approve changes associated with manufacture or design of products.
  • Lead process investigations using physical and chemical material characterisation techniques, such as PSD, surface area analysis, SEM/ EDS, FTIR, XRD and optical microscopy.
  • Support laboratory activities such as maintenance and calibration of material characterisation equipment and applying cGLP to all laboratory activities including stock control.
  • Identify and execute improvement & cost savings initiatives, support continuous improvements in operations cell. 
  • Good technical documentation skills  
  • Experience in complex problem solving related to manufacturing/design technical issues with root cause analysis to identify solutions.
  • Excellent analytical skills, ability to self-manage to plan, organize and implement concurrent tasks.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
