Qualifications/Work Experience Required

  • 10 years of successful medical device related sales, marketing or product development experience. Minimum of 6 years of medical device experience.
  • Strong track record of at least 3-5 US product launches
  • Successful track record of managing field-based teams or experience as a senior NTT leader on this team
  • Strong interpersonal skills to navigate matrix organizations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Business oriented & strong physician key opinion leader network recognition
  • Ability to lead projects and execute through others

Job Summary

  • Build a New Technology team in the North America region that will collaborate with the upstream product development team. Partner with Neurovascular Clinical team during new technology clinical trials to gain initial expertise on new technology innovation or disease state
  • The role requires strong collaboration with the Senior Leadership Team, Marketing, Sales, Clinical Sales Training & Medical Education teams in the North America region

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop business objectives, strategies and tactics for the New Technology Team managers
  • Create vision and motivate team to achieve all goals and objectives of the New Technology Team
  • Develop and manage the execution of the quarterly objectives for the New Technology Team
  • Build out training for the New Technology team to ensure each team member has the expertise to educate our physician consultants. This is separate from new hire training and focuses on anatomy/imaging; concepts/data; technique; hands-on; in-services; and case immersion
  • Build out a proctor process for supporting physician training. This includes working with IT and Professional Affairs on a proctor portal, process for selecting proctors, and managing their travel and training.
  • Travel internationally or to clinical trial sites, as needed, to gain “real world” case experience with products and technologies not approved in the North America region
  • Work closely with the Marketing team to build product design training curriculum to ensure a solid base of knowledge is established
  • Collaborate with Global & North America Marketing on new product launches, positioning & messaging, Stryker Neurovascular team training and physician training requirements
  • Work closely with Professional Affairs, Medical Education, and North America Marketing to execute the physician consultant activities for Stryker Neurovascular SKILL courses for physician training. Work closely with Professional Affairs and North America Marketing to execute the physician consultant activities for Stryker Neurovascular proctoring programs. (scheduling, travel logistics, invoicing, etc.)
  • Work closely with Professional Affairs who manage consulting/sponsorship agreements, creation of invoices, payments of HCP and vendors, legal and compliance approvals
  • Develop key opinion leader relationship
  • Manage Operating Expenses within budget in coordination with regional Business Finance Managers
  • Build Quality into all aspects of the work by maintaining compliance to all quality requirements & training
  • Recruit and hire top talent for Stryker Neurovascular
  • Develop individuals on the New Technology team via training, individual development objectives, mid-year and year end reviews
