Senior Engineer - Robotics/Automation

Location: Cork

Role Summary:

This is an opportunity for an experienced robotics and automation engineer to take a lead role in the delivery of the new automated needle assembly line in Stryker Springhill, based in Carrigtwohill, Cork. This is a project that will require an understanding of robotics, vision and validation to ensure that the equipment performs as designed and delivers quality product. You will be Lead Engineer in a large automation project to move a manual line to a fully robotic automated cell containing 9ABB robotics and multiple vision systems.

As lead engineer you will work within the project team consisting of a Project Manager, 2 mechanical engineers, 1 quality engineer and senior design engineer to deliver this state of the art system into a newly purpose built clean room facility in a rapidly expanding site.

Skills, Knowledge & Qualifications:

  • Level 8 Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical experience is required.

  • Proven Project Management skills through the delivery of business critical projects.

  • Has 2-4 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.

  •  Strong communication and influencing skills with both internal and external agents.

  • Capable of technical leading, influencing and providing technical direction to Engineers, Coop Students, Technicians and operators as required.

  • Capable of working as part of a multi-disciplined team in an aggressive, dynamic and results motivated environment
