What You Will Do:

As a Senior Product Development Engineer, you will work with our customers and a cross-functional team to design, validate and bring new joint replacement products to market. In this role, you will:

  • Develop prototypes for design verification and validation under guidance of supervising engineers.
  • Utilize design controls within the New Product Development Process (NPDP).
  • Develop technical protocol and report writing skills.
  • Learn to work on cross-functional design teams to develop new products, address design issues, and maintain existing designs.
  • Learn aspects of the surgical procedure to develop innovative solutions to solve and satisfy customer needs.
  • Participate in meetings with clinical advisers to gather input for design and evaluation of new products.
  • Partner with Operations and Advanced Operations teams in relations to Process Validation, Gauge Design & Inspection, Inspection Methodology and DFM.

What You Need:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering related discipline, Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of equivalent experience, medical device experience preferred
  • Must be able to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and have the ability to understand geometrical dimensioning and tolerancing.
  • Demonstrated experience with ProE or CAD.
  • Demonstrated technical design and problem solving skills.

Work From Home: Occasional

Travel Percentage: Up to 25%
