What you will do

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will get an opportunity to work within a fast-paced product development environment on an array of technical challenges for our current and next generation robotic platforms.  As part of this team, you will interface with cross functional team members both on a local and global scale.  You would be able to have inputs into all phases of product development as well as have opportunities to see our products in action via customer visits and workshops.

Some key responsibilities include:

•Use CAD/CAE Software (SolidWorks/ANSYS) to development electro-mechanical design solutions from concept to product launch.

•Develop sub-system level design strategies and lead design, development, testing & refinement of components across multiple manufacturing methods. (i.e. sheet metal, injection molding, machining, additive manufacturing etc.)

•Lead the cross-functional design process to ensure fit, form, and functional requirements are met or exceeded.

•Develop prototypes used to evaluate new product concepts.

•Follow Product Design/Change Control procedures.

What you need

B.S. in Engineering, Mechanical preferred.

Requires a minimum of 2 years engineering experience (preferred in a regulated environment; aerospace, medical device, automotive, etc.)

Ability to clearly communicate technical information including conceptual function.

Demonstrated launching (commercialization) of mechanical designs from 2 or more unique manufacturing methods.

Knowledge in Bills of Materials and basic configuration management.

Understanding of basic design for manufacturability [DFM] concepts.

SolidWorks certification(s) preferred.
