Stryker is seeking to hire a Senior Engineer, Advanced Operations to be responsible for the transfer of new products from research & design into manufacturing in Davie, FL at Stryker’s Robotics Innovation Center.

We are seeking a Senior Engineer who has expertise in the areas of launching new products, supplier management, production part approval process (PPAP) and geometric dimensioning & tolerancing (GD&T).

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

As the Senior Engineer, Advanced Operations you will design, validate and bring new products to market. You will be responsible for working with external suppliers to develop best-in-class manufacturing processes and deliver end-to-end supply chain solutions. You will collaborate with internal teams to provide feedback on designs, manufacturing capabilities, and launch strategies in order to ensure a smooth product launch.

You will collaborate with internal manufacturing partners, contract manufacturers, designers and product specialists to optimize designs for manufacturability.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Review Drawings for Design for Manufacturability for complex mechanical components and assemblies.
  • Develop processes for the machining and assembly of complex mechanical components
  • Utilize design transfer tools such as Process Flow charts, Process FMEAs, Control Plans, Measurement System Analysis and Process Validation.

WHAT YOU NEED:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering required. (Mechanical Engineering preferred).
  • 3 years related work experience required.
  • Experience in supplier process development is highly preferred.

ADDITIONALLY, YOU SHOULD HAVE:

  • Must be able to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and have working knowledge of geometrical dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Experience in executing complex problem-solving techniques related to technical manufacturing and design issues.
  • Good understanding of Design for Manufacturing.
  • Proven ability to effectively work in a fast paced, dynamic and results oriented team environment.
  • Excellent Interpersonal Skills - able to express ideas and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

Work From Home: Occasional

Travel Percentage: 10%
