This is a terrific opportunity to join Accelerate, Stryker’s largest transformational ERP program to date, impacting the entire organization. Not only are we implementing SAP, we are changing the way we do business across the organization.

Accelerate’s SAP Security Lead is responsible for the strategy, design, build, test and implementation of security solutions which enable the business community to achieve their goals and objectives, while providing proper control. This role partners closely with the IS Security team to ensure all access controls and data security standards are met for the ERP program across all architecture layers.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Defines Accelerate system security approach & architecture, including access privileges, control structures, and resources.
  • Partners with the Business Risk and Controls teams to create an entitlement framework and ensure SOD.
  • Lead a team of up to 19 SAP security professionals, including Stryker and managed service providers from SAP and Accenture.  Superintend the related annual labor spend of over $4 million.
  • Ability to define and ensure a standard of work in a matrixed environment with team members located in multiple geographies and time zones (Michigan, New Jersey, India).
  • Collaborates with business leads to define application level (SAP etc.) roles and responsibilities.
  • Understands and leverages SAP best and standard practices to ensure a robust, yet simple system security approach.
  • Oversees implementations of security technologies required to support the ERP solution, including SAP BASIS and GRC.
  • Implements security improvements by assessing current situation; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements.
  • Define process for identifying security violations and inefficiencies by conducting periodic audits.
  • Keeps users informed by preparing performance reports; communicating system status.
  • Conducts risk analysis and advises on appropriate mitigating actions.

Education:

  • Requires a BS or MS degree in computer science, engineering or equivalent.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Information Security & Controls with 5+ years of SAP basis security experience specifically focused in NetWeaver, web application server (Web AS) and java application server (Java AS).
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a leadership role(s) at the Sr. Manager / Manager level.
  • Previously worked in technical teams, with progression into a management role.
  • Solid and proven experience working on medium/large sized projects in IT Security & Controls required.
  • Experience supervising matrixed teams in multiple geographies.
  • Experience directly managing project budgets exceeding $2 million.
  • Be self-motivated, able to work effectively within a team and open to after-hours and weekend work, including travel when necessary or appropriate.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and maintaining a system of controls appropriate for a global ERP system in public company.
  • Analytical, diagnostic and problem solving skills to operate either within a team or independently.
  • Excellent communications skills, including communication across Global teams.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills, with strong influencing and relationship management capabilities
