What you will do

  • Lead the creation, development and execution of all resident and fellow activities associated with Stryker’s educational offerings. Lead the education initiative linked to Stryker’s Teaching Institution Program and create and execute the plan to follow the resident and fellow throughout their career.
  • Create a resident and fellow hand-off program designed to connect the resident and fellow to their future location ultimately partnering with them throughout their career.
  • Develop a strategy for resident and fellows currently aligned to Stryker’s education programs including but not limited to Stryker national courses, Third Party programs, Education scholarships
  • Partner with marketing and sales to execute the Teaching Institution Program at targeted institutions.
  • Create and implement medical education strategies and tactics that support business objectives.
  • Partner with the field to communicate Stryker’s offerings for residents and fellows as part of the Teaching Institution. Program to the appropriate stakeholders at each institution.
  • Partner with Joint Replacement to ensure we are aligned with our strategic initiatives in Teaching Institutions.
  • Ensure that all medical education activities meet or exceed regulatory, government and internal compliance requirements

What you need

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum 8 years’ work experience in the medical device industry

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10+ years’ experience in the medical device industry.
  • Demonstrated experience with medical professionals, hospital leadership, surgeons and hospital staff in the application of education in the field of orthopedics.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of resident and fellow education process, timeline and career path.
  • Demonstrated experience with internal leadership, including Marketing and Sales in the professional setting.
  • Demonstrated experience of partnering well with the field to help drive resident and fellow education and the local level.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate well and influence our most experienced surgeon consultants to implement local medical education programs for residents and fellows above industry benchmarks.
  • Demonstrated ability to ability to prioritize, organize and focus on details to ensure the teaching institution program initiatives are executed well.
  • Demonstrated ability to creatively solve problems during planning and onsite when issues arise.
