Basic Function

  • Manages and deliver projects by collaborating with key stakeholders, tracking engineering activities and taking informed decisions which will lead to improved products under specific cost, time and quality constraints.
  • Leverages understanding of SDLC to lead Software development and maintenance projects across global teams using both waterfall and agile methodologies with focus on incorporating iterative releases into the design and release control processes.
  • Cultivates talent, generates momentum while keeping teams focused on deliverables.


  • Drives identification of project scope, coordinates with stakeholders to identify goals, time frame, resources and budget
  • Effectively influences stakeholders, challenges them as appropriate and manages expectations
  • Develops, tracks, maintains and manages project planning, budget and timeline
  • Responsible for identifying dependencies, mitigates risk and removes project impediments
  • Communicates effectively to facilitate progress and cascade the right level of information to all project stakeholders on a regular basis, ensures team and management are aware of upcoming milestones / risks / issues
  • Open to expresses thoughts and ideas to individuals and executives; articulates clearly and checks for understanding
  • Responsible for driving and taking informed decisions related to critical project activities
  • Provides reports on project status; provides additional documentation on project as needed
  • Assures project team conforms to organizational policies and quality procedures, accountable for project adherence to Engineering Change procedures and best practices
  • Keeps up to date on overall activities of the team, monitors progress, identifies critical path and takes corrective actions
  • Manages projects of moderate to high complexity, spanning multiple engineering disciplines
  • Accountable for on-time execution as well as overall success of projects
  • Conducts regular meetings with project teams / stakeholders as required
  • Actively support the team to mitigate impediments and achieve sprint / release goals
  • Recognises team efforts and keeps the team morale up
  • Manages multiple projects / assignments in parallel
  • Effectively negotiates and collaborates with cross functional teams and leaders
  • Flexible to dedicate whatever time is necessary to learn business processes and product applications
  • Flexible to overlap couple of hours with US timezone

Skills/Experience required

  • 8-10 years of total experience in engineering discipline
  • 3+ years of demonstrated Project Manager / SCRUM Master / Release management experience in software environment or equivalent space
  • 5+ years of experience as technical contributor to complex software applications and projects
  • Excellent knowledge of SDLC / Software Engineering practices, basic principles, concepts etc.
  • Strong stakeholder management, relationship building and influencing skills
  • Enthusiastic, energetic with excellent interpersonal skills with ability to drive healthy discussions, understand and resolve impediments in a collaborative and constructive manner
  • ’Can do’ attitude, with a proven record of delivering project outcomes with good stakeholder feedback
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, prioritize, track, facilitate and track projects using applicable tools
  • Excellent facilitation, oral and written communication skills
  • Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions
  • Effective presentation skills
  • A self- starter who can work well independently with minimal supervision 
  • Ability to coordinate multiple assignments in parallel
  • Applied knowledge of Microsoft office applications
  • Proficiency working with complex systems and matrixed organizations

Education/training required          

  • Master’s OR Bachelor’s degree (B.S) OR equivalent in related field

Preferred Qualifications               

  • Knowledge of medical device and/or pharmecutical industry in terms of process, organization, product and complex requirements
  • Working experience with other Agile methodologies – Kanban, LEAN, PP
  • SaFE, PLCM experience
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification
  • PMP training or knowledge
  • Travel readiness (B1/B2 visa)
