What you will do-

As a Production Supervisor, you will direct the development and activities of employees engaged in manufacturing activities including training and supervising, maintaining a positive work environment, ensuring compliance with safety, and quality standards in accordance with established policies and procedures. You will supervise all production activities performed by employees, maintaining a high degree of visibility and access to employees throughout the shift.

Additional duties:

  • Solve Problems and ensure product flows through the Value Stream
  • Support frontline teams with scheduling, team organization, training and development
  • Partner with other supervisors and support staff to ensure healthy and balanced operations
  • Coach the team in Lean problem-solving methodologies to solve problems of efficiency and quality
  • Partner with Marketing, Customer Service and Finance to set pricing and build a more profitable business
  • Creatively find ways to work with supporting teams to reduce Cost of Goods Sold
  • Support and coach the frontline teams as they work towards their Key Performance Objectives and Career goals
  • Manage Supplier relations and relationships with other BUs to help meet the ProCare Key Performance Objectives as well as theirs
  • Establishes and maintains department standards for productivity, reliability, and accuracy
  • Monitors and reports daily production results, material usage, waste, and downtime
  • Reports equipment problems to the appropriate department and production manager
  • Coordinates with quality control to maintain quality standards; takes appropriate corrective measures to resolve deficiencies
  • Forecasts staffing needs to meet peak demands of the business and staff team accordingly; trains, motivates, coaches, rewards, and disciplines employees being supervised; resolves personnel issues
  • Manages personnel issues including but not limited to vacation approvals, time card approval, daily and weekly overtime, hiring, and training
  • Assists with the development and implementation of policies and procedures; ensures all established policies and procedures are followed by employees
  • Inspects for proper sanitation of equipment and facilities; takes corrective action to resolve deficiencies
  • Maintains safety programs and all required safety training for employees

What you need-

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 2+ years of related experience required
  • 1+ years of people leadership highly preferred
  • Excel data manipulation and Power BI experience preferred
  • Lean problem-solving methodology, forecasting and risk analysis experience
  • Knowledge of production/manufacturing practices and procedures
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
  • Bilingual skills a plus
