Job Description

UK Product Manager -  Head & Neck (CranioMaxilloFacial Surgery)
 
The Product Manager will lead the CMF franchise product portfolio for the UK, by setting the direction of the portfolio within the organization, by building organizational capabilities, and by inspiring others to support the franchise with the ultimate goal of growing the business and taking share in the market.


They are the local market expert for the segment and products- understanding trends, competitive landscape, product performance and customer/user needs- and connecting these inputs with existing or future products and solutions.  The local Product Manager is expected to work in close alignment with European Brand Managers to ensure aligned strategies and execution across Europe, and provide feedback to the Brand Management team on the success of pan-European strategies, and effectiveness.


SETTING DIRECTION

  • Study local CMF market (size, trend, payment method and major stakeholder) and competitor environment Market insight and expertise- including trends, competition, reimbursement, pricing, user needs (VOC), new product ideas, and customer perceptions of brand
  • Research, launch, or reposition products in local marketplace to maximize sales and growth using 4P’s and Big Picture methodology
  • Create the local tactical Marketing plan aligned with the European Head and Neck franchise financial objectives
  • Communicate the marketing plan to the leadership and salesforce regularly to ensure alignment to the agreed country objectives.
  • Customize marketing plan based on customer experience, Voice of Customer experience and changes to the economic environment.
  • Gather market intelligence through field visits with salesforce and customer visitations.
  • Liaise with operations team with regard to inventory build for product introductions, product deletion planning, and monitor/change safety stock levels. Operational management of product portfolio- demand planning including anticipated equipment fleet needs, demonstration equipment, and local PLCM impact
  • Prepare and implement new product launches and launch plans.
  • Key opinion leader identification and development plan.
  • Ensure all documentation submitted in a timely fashion for Stryker product training events and TPEC meetings to local compliance officer.

BUILDING ORGANIZATIONAL CAPABILITIES 

  • Create and own the local CMF forecast and budgeting process. Align local discretionary budget, strategy, and execution to European strategy to achieve growth and market share targets
  • Liaise with loan kit team to ensure demand/need is being met with loan kit fleet.
  • Working with sales leadership, work to provide accurate information for demand planning
  • Work with Internal Education team to ensure sales force is competent to sell product and can cover surgical cases.
  • Lead portfolio pricing, ASP and profitability analysis for new products and legacy products in the local market.
  • Drive innovation and gap closing activities.
  • Identify opportunities for growth acceleration.
  • Partner with sales leadership to identify surgeon targets for customer conversion, assist with execution of plan and track sales process by month – advise correction where necessary.
  • Partner with Compliance to ensure all Stryker events are compliant.
  • Ability to manage and allocate promotional spend and measure ROI.
  • Assist with must-win product evaluations, tenders, or customer presentations

INSPIRING OTHERS

  • Become Stryker product advocate and build a strong partnership with sales force.
  • Enable, educate, influence, and align sales team to local marketing strategy and communicate updates on key performance indicators
  • Develop strong KOL relationships locally and regionally. Identify, develop and maintain relationships with Stryker and competitor key opinion leaders (KOLs), reference centers and other influencers
  • Target KOL competitors with sales leadership and build relationships.
  • Ensure Internal Education / sales training provides strong message on current and new products to engage internally and externally
  • Partner with Internal education team to ensure sales force competency.
  • Organize and lead Marketing events locally and regionally where required. Identification, planning, organization, and execution of marketing events, TPECs, congresses, and other professional education activities.
  • Network throughout Head & Neck and Global divisions within Stryker

Experience/Qualifications

  • Sales & or marketing experience in medical devices or healthcare industry preferred
  • Broad experience in supporting the sales force and customer facing activities in the field.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent written and oral skills in English
  • Sense of motivation and ability for self-directed learning
  • Sound computer skills
