What you will do

The Principal Engineer in Engineering Standards provides technical oversight and design direction to the Implant R&D engineers.  You will leverage your expertise in engineering, total joint replacement, and implant and instrument design to guide the team through the application of design controls, risk management and design verification and validation as well as supporting various sustaining and post market activities.

The Principal Engineer collaborates with various stakeholders to continuously improve the new product development process to drive efficiency. You'll ensure the use of good design practices and design standards through the consistent application of the latest best practices throughout the team.  You will also drive the technical development of the R&D engineers through training and mentorship.

What you need

  • Bachelors Degree from an Accredited University
  • 10+ years of related experience, medical device preferred
  • Experience in design controls and risk management
  • Ability to handle multiple projects at one time

Work From Home: Occasional

Travel Percentage: 10%
