Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to join our Neurovascular division! We are seeking a well-organized, strong, poised and experienced Project Manager to lead cross functional core teams and drive the project to completion on time and within budget. Some key responsibilities of this position include:

  • Integration Management:  Develop project charter and management plan.  Direct, manage, monitor and control project.   Evaluate tradeoffs within project.
  • Scope Management: Define and manage project scope; review with manager for approval.  Create detailed Work Breakdown Structure.
  • Time Management: Develop and manage the detailed project Gantt chart.  Analyze critical path and major workstreams. Create a one page timeline.
  • Cost Management:  Work with supervisor to establish project budget.  Monitor and maintain costs within budget.
  • Quality Management:  Work with project team to create project Quality Plans using 1-2 quality planning tools and techniques. Monitor and maintain plans.
  • Human Resource Management:  Develop a project team list with cross-functional staffing requirements.   Define the role, responsibility and deliverables for each team member.  Provide direct feedback to functional manager on performance reviews.  
  • Communications Management:   Develop communications management plan for project team.
  • Risk Management:  Create a risk management plan for the project. Identify, analyze and understand project risks and develop a risk response plan.
  • Procurement Management:  Participate in the development of a Procurement Management Plan and provide input into the selection of development partners.
  • Business Acumen:  Understand generally how our business makes money and use those levers to drive project decisions.

Job Requirements

  • 4+ years project/program management experience (Knowledge of PM software and Resource Planning Tools preferred)
  • 2+ years of Medical Device experience preferred
  • Understanding of product design, (Catheters and/or Stents and/or Balloons)
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or applicable technical field (mechanical or biomedical preferred)
  • M.S. in Engineering, MBA or related field a plus
