What you will do

As a Marketing Manager you will be responsible for the preparation and execution of marketing plans in relation with country, region and global Stryker strategies. Work closely with Country Manager and Business Development Managers to define market priorities and local strategies in line with Country Strategic Plan.  Develop marketing materials, plans promotional activities, monitors trends, improves market intelligence and provides training and support to the sales force on the Turkish product portfolio. Maintains contacts with customers and Key-Opinion Leaders to drive Stryker’s market position further.  Leads Product Managers & Marketing Specialists aligning their activities to sales plan, whilst being an individual contributor to perform duties of all aspects of Marketing with Stryker products.


  • Establish close working relationships with Business Development Managers, Territory Sales Managers and indirect channels
  • Working closely with other Marketing teams within EEMEA to be part of regional strategy and align with country strategy
  • Prepare and implement marketing plans for each franchise, focusing on appropriate target audiences
  • Work together with Business Development Managers as appropriate, to ensure integration with business plans including new launches and on-going support of current products and accessories.
  • Be a subject Matter expert with respect to specified product area including product knowledge, sales volumes, market trends, product costs and margin information as well as key customer needs and requirements
  • Produce and develop key marketing tools to support the market plan initiatives for each franchise. Work closely with sales team and global marketing to ensure that these tools are both effective in supporting sales. This includes the development of sales briefs, selling/promotional materials, exhibition booth activities and materials, advertising, public relations activities and website activities
  • Ensure field staff receive training to ensure effective delivery of key selling messages and use of marketing/promotional aids based on sales briefs as appropriate
  • Propose solutions on any requests/needs received by current client base and implement best practice where possible
  • Establish relationship with the EEMEA Central Marketing Department and produce reports on request and forward any territory information regarding Stryker products in the most appropriate way
  • Develop annual training plan for local team and distributor sales forces for each product franchise

People Management

  • To attract and retain quality employees with the best skills and qualifications to ensure that the Stryker standards and values are met and exceeded
  • To carry out performance appraisals with all direct reports and to ensure that both individual and organizational development and training needs are met
  • To set clear objectives for all direct reports in line with departmental and organizational goals and to manage and lead the team efficiently to optimize outcomes consistent with the companies code of conduct

Market Research

  • Input into and assistance with market research as and when required; monitor and communicate market research requirements to back up marketing planning and promotional activities
  • Input into and share actively in customers feedback surveys
  • Provide insight for main competitors activities in Turkey 
  • Ensure proper presence of Stryker in important meeting & conventions and industry associations

Financial Management

  • Budgetary management for all marketing activities initiated (liaising with Country Manager and with support from Finance where required)


  • To be aware of and to support continuously the development and implementation of the company quality system
  • Full discipline with all corporate compliance policies regarding interaction with HCP & ICs.

What you need

  • At least ten years of experience in marketing, at least 3 years as Marketing Manager
  • Experience in Marketing within medical/B2B industry with proven track record showing impact on sales
  • Full Management experience with managing multiple teams
  • Able to solve complex problems & identify solutions
  • Medical/Pharma background (preferably)
  • MBA is an asset
  • Fluent English language skills (Spoken & Written)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point)
  • Excellent presentation skills
