The Job's Mission is:

Responsible for providing customer level insights on sales growth opportunities to Stryker Europe. The role aims to deliver analysis of a Regional Business unit’s Key performance Indicators, dashboards and key reporting by geographies, products, customers and sales reps. Part of the BES Analytics team, this is a strategic role to help Stryker deliver its growth strategy in Europe.

Together with 2 other commercial analysts, the team of Sales operations Analysts and a Data Scientist, the Centre of Excellence (COE) Analytics team will create scalable, analytical capabilities which enable the Division/Country commercial teams to reduce time spent on data searching, cleaning, reporting and shift focus towards running the business with supporting facts, insights and foresights.

The Commercial Analyst will act – reporting to the Senior Director Europe – as single point of contact on commercial analytics for few Divisions in Europe and train RHQ sales/marketing leaders on the BI tools, he/she will be responsible for defining the European requirements up to the implementation of new commercial analytics applications within the division while leveraging our global IS platforms and govern relevant marketing product hierarchies and a set of custom divisional sales reports.

Moreover, the Commercial Analyst will leverage our European Big data solution and new predictive analytics tools built by the Data-scientist and global IS team as to deliver customer sales opportunity insight based consultancy vs the Division Leadership team during the yearly process of sales territories realignment & sales target setting and to support any commercial analysis.

The jobholder will have the opportunity to work on several business process improvement and change management initiatives in a very dynamic environment. Key Activities & Accountabilities:

  • Responsible for delivering information, KPIs, dashboards and reports for supporting the respective VPGM and his/her team. Take part in initiatives to drive governance of master data.
  • Analyze Stryker and external data incl. indicator market share data. Report on market share trends leveraging industry Association data and scalable analytical data models.
  • Interact closely with RHQ Division and Country leaders to disseminate customer insights
  • Drive an execution strategy around reporting and analytical capabilities required to support management and executive key decision making.
  • Collect, consolidate, analyze and maintain data on account sales potentials
  • Ensure accuracy of the marketing product hierarchies in close collaboration with global MdM
  • Design, follow, measure and improve business processes to improve the quality of data used
  • Manage the activities of one or more European programs with responsibility for results in terms of costs, delay, methods and outcomes
  • Collaborate with IS to build necessary BI infrastructure
  • Manage external data sources
  • Analytics support of SFE initiatives such as yearly territory and target setting
  • Coordinate, validate, reconcile sales data issues with the various business functions (Customer Service, Finance, MdM etc..) when needed, following a frame work
  • Create and execute BI tool training programs for RHQ sales/marketing users

Education: 

  • Masters in Business, Economics, Finance or IT or similar professional experience
  • Fluent  in English (speaking and writing)

Competencies:

  • Min 3 years of professional experience as an Analyst
  • Effective communication skills, able to present complex analytics to senior sales/mkt mgt
  • Ability to comprehensively understand master data, transactional and analytical data, hierarchies, sources and relationships
  • Should be able to speak language of both IT and Business
  • Project Management skills
  • Strong Excel and data visualization skills
  • Knowledge of BI reporting tools (Cognos, Power BI)  is preferred
  • Experience with market forecasting data models is preferred
