Job Description

Support the continued transformation of the Global Quality and Operations group by being the compliance partner for several franchise finance teams within the GQO network. Responsibilities:

  • Be the compliance partner for several franchise finance teams in the GQO finance network.  As a compliance partner, drive the franchise teams to implement GQO finance and compliance strategy, educate the network on compliance topics, and monitor progress against goals
  • Be a global leader for specific compliance initiatives.  Be part of the GQO compliance leadership team that develops the GQO compliance standard and drives initiative roll outs
  • Customer satisfaction:  Perform with honesty and integrity, instituting a highly responsive and unsurpassed level of customer service.  Working with the other GQO compliance partners and the Franchise Finance teams, promote an environment emphasizing teamwork, empowerment, and problem resolution with a consultative approach
  • System innovation: Listen, participate, and contribute to the enhancement of current processes and new system innovations, with particular focus on process improvements
  • Quality: Adhere to standards of training and providing documentation, continuous performance enhancement, and reliability
  • Ensure familiarity and correct/consistent application of Corporate and Division cost accounting policies and principles across the sites/franchises for which this role is a partner
  • Act as a champion for key compliance initiatives
  • Set direction as a key member of the GQO Controlling Team
  • As a key member of the GQO Controlling Team, participate in devising the compliance strategy for all of GQO finance
  • Identify and help implement current best practice and drive compliance changes throughout the organization
  • Generate data and analysis to assist in key decisions
  • May assist in development and transmissions of operating plan and strategic plan
  • Assist with related special projects as required
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business with a concentration in Accounting or Finance is required. CPA, CMA, MBA preferred
  • 3+ years relevant progressive experience
  • Demonstrated capability and experience working with finance professionals to understand compliance needs, and to identify/drive compliance improvements   
  • Demonstrated ability to handle both strategic and tactical financial compliance issues
  • Keen analytic, organization and problem solving skills which allows for strategic data interpretation
  • Ability to influence, drive consensus, and coordination across multiple, global locations
  • Ability and desire to translate complex financial concepts to individuals at all levels including finance and non-finance managers
  • Demonstrated ability to influence leaders within an organization
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; experience in effectively communicating key data, including presentations to senior management
  • Demonstrated success in recruiting, engaging, and managing performance of a work group
  • Demonstrated business acumen and ability to use independent judgment
  • Proven ability to work in a team environment, and demonstrate comfort, creativity, and initiative in the assumption of new projects
