The Role:

As Distribution Centre & Logistics Manager, you will lead the strategy and execution of Stryker South Pacific Logistics, Distribution Centres and Kit Build operations. You will be a critical communicator, building organisational capability across functional teams whilst developing initiatives that drive effective growth of the business.

What You Will Do:

  • Accountable for Inbound and Outbound Logistics, Distribution Centre Activities, Trade Compliance and Kit Build operations
  • Coach your team according to the Stryker Leadership Expectations as well as external best practice leadership
  • Lead the DC&L team to ensure a partnering relationship with our Suppliers and Manufacturers, enabling the delivery of superior business results
  • Design and implement strategic plans that ensure delivery to the Stryker Mission, Quality Policy, financial and customer service objectives
  • Provide expert insight on a range of distribution and logistics functions
  • Partner closely with Quality to identify any supplier quality issues and any areas where operations is having difficulty
  • Lead process improvements, identify gaps and implement processes which will continue to enable improved performance
  • Ensure that Stryker is meeting its obligations regarding Trade Compliance with regards to the relevant Australian and NZ Legislation. 

What You Need:

  • Outstanding organisational skills and good attention to detail
  • Ability build strong relationships and influence key internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent analytical and negotiation skills
  • Experience managing a team of professionals and operating effectively as part of a team with accountability for business results
  • Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Access Database, Powerpoint
  • Track record of resolving issues with third parties directly
  • Commercial and financial focus
