Engineering Manager - Engineering Excellence

Location: Stryker Additive, Carrigtwohill, Cork


This is an excellent opportunity for  the successful candidate to work closely with the business leadership to deliver on the long term strategy for Additive (3D Printing).

The Engineering Excellence Manager shall work in partnership with all business functions (Finance, Operations, Technology, HR, NPI) to maximise the business benefit for Stryker.

This is a key role for both the day to day management of the business and the future direction.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Ensure consistent and timely delivery of all projects in the portfolio
  • Prioritisation of projects
  • Resource tracking and assignment
  • Continuously improvement of the Project, Program and Portfolio processes
  • Execution and measurement of Business Strategy
  • Lead the Project Management team.

Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications:

Minimum Degree in Engineering preferably with either Masters, Black Belt or equivalent professional qualification with at least 10 years relevant experience in a technical engineering role.

Must have at least three years’ experience within manufacturing operations in a leadership role. Business understanding of operations and their impacts essential.

Strong communication skills with both Internal and external agents.

An ability to facilitate a team of engineers to deliver a specific objective.

An above average level of emotional intelligence.

A passionate people developer.

Flexibility essential with strong project management skills.

Self-starter with demonstrated efficient work methods, analytical & problem solving skills and ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment.

Capable of working as part of a multi-disciplined team

Proven successful leadership/management of engineering team in an aggressive, dynamic, and results motivated environment.

****Experience of working in additive is not required.

Work From Home: Occasional

Travel Percentage: 20%
