Job Description

Who we want

As the EMEA FP&A analyst you will be responsible for supporting the financial reporting and projection process delivering the necessary insights to the senior management on the performance of the division in the EMEA area.

In this role you will need to coordinate with various stakeholders in a matrix organization, including the divisional finance, sales & marketing teams, as well as Stryker local finance and central FP&A teams. The tasks will include FP&A activities covering reporting of results (month-end-close and dashboard), planning and forecasting preparation, and a day-to-day support to the Sales & Marketing functions. In addition, you will work as a referent to the exiting internal process and reporting tools, to maintain and develop.

What you will do

  • Support the month-end close process, working with regional and central Stryker’s team as well NV sales & marketing teams to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
  • Participate to the Strategic and Operating Plan, and quarterly projection, to formulate an accurate and detailed support to the business
  • Design and prepare key management reports including sales analysis and monthly regional pack.
  • Commissions calculation for the EMEA sales force
  • Focus on continuous improvement in efficiency and quality projects
  • Partner with Senior BFM‘s to provide financial support and analytics to the entire EMEA region (Direct and Indirect Sales organization)
  • Understand and leverage the infrastructure in use across the organization (e.g. Hyperion; Sales Force) to develop insightful tools to Business teams
  • Undertake ad hoc analysis and project work as required by the business to support key decisions
  • Ensure key analysis/reports are delivered timely with accuracy and presented to management
  • Develop and implement solutions to improve efficiency on reporting or process
  • Add quality insight into sales performance and identify potential areas of opportunity and leverage
  • Build effective relationships with Stryker Finance, Divisional Finance, Regional Marketing and Sales leadership and country teams
  • Participate in ad hoc process improvement and finance related projects.

What you need

  • A Master degree in Finance / Business 
  • Fluent spoken and written English. Any other European language is a plus
  • Strong Excel skills, Power BI, Oracle systems and HFM knowledge appreciated
  • 3 to 5 year of relevant working experience in a FP&A function in matrixed international company (preferably American or Multinational company) with complex reporting practices and with exposure to various reporting systems.
  • Strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills, attention to detail and ability to communicate complicated issues effectively
  • Demonstrated ability to work across levels within the organization
  • Team player, ability to foster strong relationships with others
  • Effective problem-solving skills and ability to resolve conflict
  • Demonstrated ability to perform consistently under varying business pressure as well as ability to adapt to a quickly changing environment
  • Financial management skills
  • Commercial focus and financial acumen
  • Demonstrated track record of success in finance or commercial roles providing reporting, analyzing information and providing assistance in building business growth.
  • Strong understanding of information systems, ideally, experience in dealing with important volume of data (data mining, Big Data).
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects that will significantly impact the business and including working with senior leadership
  • Demonstrated ability to organize, and develop processes & analytics tools
