Job Description

This position provides an exciting opportunity to join Stryker’s $2.5B Joint Replacement division, as a member of the Finance team supporting the Commercial Marketing organization.  The finance analyst will have ownership of the approximately ~$50M Commercial Marketing P&L, and will partner closely with the CBU team, providing guidance and support around expense management, CER preparation, evaluating the financial implications of key strategic decisions and other ad-hoc analyses.

  • Partner with the Commercial Marketing team around expense management, best practice process support and financial analysis for strategic decisions
  • Assist with the month-end close process through journal entry preparation and account reconciliation of key accounts
  • Coordinate and assist in all aspects of the annual budget submission as well as the monthly and quarterly projection cycles
  • Provide timely analytical explanation of variances between actual results and forecasts/budgets
  • Perform in-depth financial analysis of the Commercial Marketing P&L to provide business partners with insights that allow them to better execute on their budget targets
  • Develop and issue dashboards and internal reporting for business partners
  • Other ad-hoc projects, as assigned by the Finance Manager

What you need

  • Bachelor of Science in Finance related field, and/or Economics.  CPA, and/or MBA preferred by not required. 
  • 5 years demonstrated successful experience (in the medical device or relevant industry is an advantage but not a pre-requisite)
  • Demonstrated communication, customer service and analytical skills
  • Experience of working within a Sarbanes Oxley compliant organization
  • Proficient technical application skills that enable use of multiple financial systems
  • Excellent organizational skills and knowledge in the use of current office technologies (MSOffice suite, PowerBI, databases, etc.)
