Job Description

The Lead Compensation Analyst -- to be based in Kalamazoo, Michigan -- will work as integral part of the Compensation Department team to provide professional-level support for compensation programs including salary survey participation, job evaluations, market pricing, and administering various compensation programs. High level support for projects and initiatives within the compensation area. Provide direct compensation support to the HR community as requested.
 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides substantial support for design and development of compensation programs.  Under general supervision, plans, conducts and supervises assignments. 
  • Administer/oversee position requests utilizing the compensation software. Provide assistance to divisional HR with job pricings and survey analysis.
  • Conduct trainings on compensation software and serve as master user. Interface with compensation software vendor and consultants.
  • Participate in salary surveys, prepare files for automated salary matching and validate accuracy of market composites.
  • Perform job evaluations and market price positions; utilizing a variety of salary surveys to recommend the appropriate grade for positions across the organization.
  • Prepare analysis and evaluate adjustments to salary structures and merit matrices.
  • Provide assistance and analysis to executive compensation including bonus administration, stock option granting process, and executive perquisite programs.
  • Lead data interfaces and transaction and reporting related to Workday and internal HR systems with external compensation partners.
  • Prepare regular and ad hoc reports for presentations to staff and senior management.
  • Operates with appreciable latitude for unreviewed action or decision.
  • Reviews progress with management. 
  • May direct work of Analyst or Sr. Analyst.
  • Recommends changes in procedures.
  • All other duties and projects as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree is Business or related area. 
  • Four to six years of relevant work experience.

Work From Home: Occasional

Travel Percentage: 10%
