What you will do:

As the Lead Analyst within the portfolio management team, you will be responsible for the management of the internal strategic portfolio for the global NV division and related processes. You will drive the portfolio management process with cross-functional stakeholders in Program Management Office, Marketing and Strategic Development, and be responsible for both project and portfolio level data aggregation, reporting and maintenance. You will lead process improvement initiatives related to the project portfolio planning process, aimed at driving efficient decision making within the organization. What you need:

• 4+ years of experience in Project Portfolio Management, Business or Finance, Strategic Development & Planning, Data management and/or Marketing.

• Proven track record of working with cross-functional Business stakeholders in understanding business processes & functionality

• Bachelor’s Degree Required (Business, Finance, Marketing, Engineering, Management or related field)

• Excellent interpersonal communication skills and Ability to engage effectively at all levels of the organization.

• Demonstrated ability in collection, analysis, and synthesis of data and research into insights used to inform strategic decisions, through creating presentations to communicating complex data in a simple manner

Detailed Job Description:

1) Portfolio Management Process Analytics

  • Gather and maintain portfolio analytics tool platform
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure portfolio data is accurately updated on an ongoing basis and help support decision making on portfolio priorities and execution
  • Document decisions for audit purposes and secure strategic data.
  • Partner with finance to incorporate investment portfolio into annual Operating Plan submission
  • Update portfolio quarterly in alignment with finance process to support quarterly business reviews
  • Serve as a key process and system resource for the portfolio planning process including the development of reporting templates (using Power BI, Excel), matrix formats, and KPIs as necessary.
  • Partner with market intelligence and strategic planning to ensure that current and consistent market and revenue estimates are incorporated into all business models
  • Support development and continuous improvement of overall business strategy and processes with coordination of other key functions (e.g., Finance) and other members of the business and corporate functions
  • Understand existing data models and assist in development of new data models. Demonstrate proficiency utilizing available tools to support reporting and analysis.
  • Provide recommendations and interpretations of the data or information provided/collected.
  • Respond to all ad hoc requests for data from the divisional business teams, and internal team members.
  • Follow processes and procedures to support, streamline, and in some cases automate, analytic and measurement strategies.
  • Owner of process improvement projects that will drive efficiency in portfolio level decision making amongst the team.
  • Document and maintain process instructions that will assist in the training of new analysts.
  • Support portfolio and project governance meetings with agenda creation, documentation of meeting minutes and overall meeting organization

2) Business analysis and KPIs

  • Monitor, research, and analyze the business environment. Provide data, analysis, and recommendations based on key business drivers.
  • Prepare relevant analysis for ELT reviews based on key strategic insights
  • Identify key strategic insights and perform relevant analysis to support annual strategic initiatives
  • Identify Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the division in alignment with global and regional needs
  • Collect, analyze and present internal metrics of different departments to analyze business performance and forecast future performance
  • Work cross-functionally with key partners to build and design models to solve business problems and derive key business insights from disparate datasets
  • Create and deliver monthly, quarterly and annual business reviews
