Job Description

Position summary:

Responsibilities include performing account analysis, approving account reconciliations, preparing accounting statements and reports, and coordination and management of account reporting and filings. Plans, coordinates and resolves accounting matters with other Accounting members, departments, locations and divisions

Essential duties & responsibilities: (detailed description)

  • Ensure timely and quality completion of period close processes
  • Manage analysis of balance sheet and P&L transactions.
  • Review, control and approve Account Reconciliations.
  • Supervise month-end close activities and communicate risks and opportunities to Associate Manager.
  • Find opportunities to improve closing activities and drive process improvement
  • Take leadership role for accounting related issues and ensure company adherence to policies and procedures, US GAAP and local GAAP
  • Maintain business partnerships with other client departments, locations and regions, and internal customers/suppliers.
  • Oversee and support the accountants and sr accountants’ positions in the team by promoting a team environment and provide work direction and guidance.
  • Complete special projects as assigned.
  • Performs other related work as assigned by management

Education & special trainings:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
  • Proficiency in the English language  
  • Computer Literacy: MS Office, particularly Excel
  • ERP System (SAP, Oracle or QAD)

Qualifications & experience:

  • 4-5 years of relevant working experience in a finance function in matrixed international company (preferably American or Multinational company) with complex reporting practices and with exposure to various reporting systems
  • Experience of working in a shared service center across a global /large organization will be an added advantage
