Job Description

  • Manages implementation process for Stryker media management and workflow projects from the planning phase through customer sign-off in assigned territory.  Key metrics include Scope/Quality, Cost, and Schedule. 
  • Trains Project Managers on key milestones required for implementing IT products.
  • Develops workflow implementation processes for Stryker Communications, Endoscopy and Procare personnel.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops media management project plans including but not limited to goals, strategy, staffing, and identification of risks, resource requirements, and analysis of development alternatives and communicates with the team.
  • Maintains project status on IT projects within assigned territory.
  • Mentors and trains project managers.  Tracks qualification and competency status within assigned territory.
  • Directly manages escalations and special IT service projects.
  • Works with Stryker network engineers to schedule appropriate resources for IT product installation. 
  • Identifies and communicates processes that increase probability of meeting or exceeding customer expectations of project scope, time, cost and quality.
  • Assigns duties to hospital network personnel; provides consultation services to customers to ensure minimum network/client requirements are met for product installation.
  • Coordinates with IT Directors, Hospital Project Managers, Network Teams, Electronic Medical Record (EMR) Vendors, Hospital Information Systems/Radiology Information Systems teams to integrate Stryker medical devices in the operating room.  This coordination leads to attaining revenue goals.
  • Communicates to a wide range of internal, direct customer, and contractor officials the status of projects.
  • Coordinates with Stryker’s legal department on proper implementation of health information system products and how they apply to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act.
  • Collaborate with Product Engineering, Marketing, Research and Development and Quality departments on changes to improve systems and network configurations; determine hardware or software requirements.
  • Create written procedures for project implementation of IT workflow systems.
  • Focus on driving process improvements.
  • Other duties as assigned by manager.
  • Has the independence and authority to perform required tasks to ensure all provisions of the quality system are met.

  • Experience with audio/video technologies including, but not limited to:  Encoding, Compression, MPEG 1/2/4, H.264, H.323, IPTV, and IP streaming preferred.
  • Knowledge of LAN/WAN architecture, LDAP, TCP/IP, DOS, DNS preferred.
  • Knowledge of HL7 preferred.
  • 10+ years related technical experience preferred.

Education/Training required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, information systems, engineering or other related field.
  • IT background or Medical Device Equipment.
  • Clinical interface engineering background preferred.
