Job Description

The IS Sr. Project Manager, Release Delivery is responsible for overall planning, coordination, execution, delivery and completion of the major and minor release delivery scope and deliverables for the Stryker Global SAP Program, on time and within budget. This is a terrific opportunity to work with our Accelerate program, Stryker's largest transformational program to date!

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Support the Major and Minor releases of the Global SAP Program under the direction of the Program Release Manager, ensuring delivery on-time, within scope and within budget.
  • Manage change requests.  Assess impact to scope, schedule and cost and communicate with key stakeholders.
  • Develop a detailed project plan for the Release Delivery work packages, in accordance with the Program Methodology.
  • Liaise with resource managers to ensure resources are available to support the timelines within the project schedule.
  • Ensure all work package tasks are completed on time through coordination with the Stryker core team and Program build partners.
  • Monitor and report on project status to all stakeholders.  Escalate issues as required.
  • Proven ability to lead a large scale project to successful completion.
  • Support the Program Release Manager on opportunities for process improvements.
  • Communicate effectively with Senior Management.
  • Guide change and influence decision making.
  • Maintain a risk register to actively manage items that may impact project cost, quality, scope or schedule.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
  • Submit regular status reports.
  • Liaise with the PMO on vendor quality, experience and cost.
  • Partner with the project team to ensure compliance with regulations, policies, standards, procedures, and associated documentation including but not limited to computer systems validation, SOX, and PM standards.
  • Willingness and ability to coach other Project Managers.

Minimum Education, Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • PMP certification strongly desired.
  • Investment in continued education desired.
  • Minimum 7 years of professional experience is required.
  • Experienced in ERP Methodologies preferably both traditional Waterfall as well as Agile approaches. 
  • SAP experience preferred but not required, other ERP or enterprise system experience acceptable.
  • Has a proven record of managing successful projects.
  • Experience leading successful large projects with remote team members. 
  • Experience and proficiency in Microsoft Project.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to understand, analyze and report on financial data. 
  • Proven ability to build team cohesion and motivate people.
  • Self-motivated and organized with a strong desire to succeed.
