The Job's Mission

The Integration Manager plays a key role in the  European Finance  Shared Service Center  in the integration of newly acquired businesses as well as the extension of scope through organic growth. This role will be the linking pin between the Stryker integration teams and the European Finance Shared Service Center and will be responsible to ensure that integrations are managed in line with the strategic roadmap of the European Shared Service Center, processes are transitioned smoothly and with limited impact on the operational teams.

This role reports into the Senior Manager Accounting Quality & Integration and requires a strong partnership with functions within the EFSS such as Internal Control, P2P, Process Excellence, R2R as well as with various stakeholders within the business, e.g. Finance Director Integrations, Senior Director Finance Manifacturing, global integration teams, local Finance teams and corporate functions such as Technical Accounting and Tax.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following, note that responsibilities may be added or removed as deemed necessary.

Key Activities & Accountabilities  

  • Define integration strategy for the European Finance Shared Service Center in line with strategic roadmap
  • Ensure alignment on integration strategy with the Shared Service Leadership team, Finance Director Integrations, Senior Finance Director Manifacturing
  • Represent the European Shared Service Center in the global Integration project team
  • Manage and coordinate the requirement assessment and determination of integration and onboarding needs for acquired businesses with the integration teams
  • Determine, design, build and lead deployment of new capabilities (process, tool, people, data) in the scope of the European Finance Shared Service Center e.g. purchase to pay, record to report, intercompany, internal controls etc.
  • Make independent decisions within the scope of the project and in line with the integration strategy
  • Maintain, develop, and safeguard relevant processes and KPIs according to Stryker’s standard defined
  • Interact and collaborate with stakeholders and peers in the acquired businesses, the Finance Shared Service functions, IS, Finance Director Integrations, Senior Director Finance Manifacturing, Global Integration team and others to ensure capabilities are well designed, deployed and adopted in line with the business’s needs
  • Drive and manage integration and onboarding realization in line with standardized Corporate Finacne policies, processes and documentation standards
  • Build and operate a strong network of stakeholders, subject matter experts and peers in the various Finance Shared Service Functions to support a smooth integration
  • Lead and coordinate process mapping and target process definiton
  • Lead and coordinate end-user testing for Shared Service processes, incl. design of test scenarios
  • Drive real change through implementation, adoption and continuous improvement of processes, solutions and best practices
  • Initiate, challenge, support and lead improvement opportunities
  • Drive growth mindset within the European Finance Shared Service Centre
  • Work on ad-hoc analysis and special projects as requested


  • Bachelor or HBO Degree in Finance/ Business related subjects
  • Accounting certifications such as CPA, CMA preferred
  • PMP certification preferred
  • Lean Six Sigma preffered
  • Fluent spoken and written English. Any other European language is a plus
  • ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, MFG pro, BPCS, PRMS) knowledge is a big plus


  • Minimum of 8 years of professional finance work experience, e.g. in accountancy of finance operations and project management
  • Experience with Integrations or business transitions, preferably in Shared Service
  • Experience with professional concepts like, Lean, Problem Solving, Daily Management
  • Good knowledge of at least 2 major ERP systems (e.g. Oracle, SAP) and be able to demonstrate ability to quickly learn and master new systems


  • Strong communication (verbal and written), attention to detail and ability to communicate complicated issues effectively
  • Demonstrated ability to perform consistently under varying business pressure as well as ability to adapt to a quickly changing environment and priorities
