What you will do

1.    Purchase Managing 

Use the company’s ERP system and tools available to place and manage purchase orders to Contract Manufacturers and EOM, control inventory levels and product availability. 

•    Review product demand and purchase plan reports in order to supply in a timely and efficient manner, taking care not to increase obsolete or excess inventory. Manage holds, backorders ahd those situations that impact negatively the supply.
•    Product biling follow up, managing on damages, under/over shipment discrepancies with plants.
•    Ensure item master is properly maintained and up to date.

•    Process non-conformin material requests and RMA request with plants and supply chain partners.

2.    Imports & Exports activities 

•    Manages and monitors the efficient and economic movement of products across international borders in accordance with the policies of the organization and in accordance with relevant local, national and international laws and processes, customs and trade compliance.
•    Manage and obtain from the commercial team, technical information to be provided to the customs broker and its classifier in order to generate the tariff classification of products (HTS) required for customs valuation.
•    Provide an immediate response to the requirements of the customs, regulatory and financial authorities, when necessary.
•    Supervise the application of international free trade agreements for the optimization of customs duties (when applicable).
•    Control, manage and solve problems and requirements of documentation / information from origin to guarantee a constant flow of import processes.
•    Review and update all contacts and information of customs and transportation providers.
•    Prepare, review and maintain files for import / export documents (for example, entry documents, In-Bond cancellation, packing list, commercial invoice, SLI (sender's instruction letter), BOL (bill of lading), AWB (waybill), IC (import certificate), etc.) required in import / export activities.
•    Serve as an import / export link for IC (intercompany) sales, procurement, planning, manufacturing, finance, regulation, and import / export compliance functions.

3.    International Transportation:   Must be the link and main point of contact with the designated carriers or courier companies, and will coordinate the collection in the different origins.

4.    Product Arrivals:   Provides in advance documentation, notifications, entry requests and other documents required for the arrivals to be received in the warehouses subcontracted by Stryker.

5.    Control of costs, metrics and reporting:   Register and report the indicators on a monthly basis associated with foreign trade processes, such as: Cost of landing (landing cost), Days of clearance (days in customs), Savings by free trade agreements (savings).
6.    Compliance
•    All business and related matters must be carried out in accordance with all laws and regulations, including the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), the Stryker Code of Conduct and in accordance with the highest ethical standards.

What you need

•    Fluency in English and Spanish​
•    Degree in International Business, International Commerce, Economics, Administration, Industrial Engineering or similar.
•    Business experience in medical devices or related industry is preferred. 

•    3-4 years of related to procurement/buyer experience (needed), inventory control, supply chain are preferred.

•   Strong Knowledge of imports, trade compliance, customs brokers management and international logistics.

•    Knowledge and domain of integrated Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) / MRP system and processes.

•    Advanced Knowledge of MS Excel (Pivot Tables, formulas)
