Job Description

Integral to Stryker’s Accelerate initiative, The ERP Data Lead, Finance works globally across business units and functions to influence key decision makers and drive alignment on Finance Data related topics. These topics could include data policies, data procedures, data definitions, or any other aspects related to finance data.  The ERP Data Lead will support the strategy and design to establish a new Enterprise Master Data governance framework that will cover all of Stryker’s applications and business processes. This role responsible for the completeness and accuracy of Enterprise Finance Master Data and will engage with divisional and functional SMEs to provide input and participate in Finance Master Data activities including data cleansing, conversion, migration, testing and training.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the timely completion of project activities within their project track, create and maintain team deliverables. 
  • Responsible for establishing policies and procedures for Enterprise ERP Finance Data. 
  • Develop Enterprise Finance Data quality measures and practices. 
  • Develop Enterprise Finance Data management measures and practices. 
  • Identify Enterprise Finance Data Stewards within each Division and Region. 
  • Drive adoption of to-be Enterprise Finance Data models to align with ERP and application capabilities and to build alignment with the business. 
  • Facilitate rapid decisions and the completion of Key Configuration Decisions through collaboration and influence with key business and functional leaders throughout Stryker. 
  • Partner and collaborate with Global Process Owners and affiliated programs to ensure data standards align across processes and within the Enterprise application framework. 
  • Acts as a change agent for Finance Master Data for Stryker.  
  • Own Stryker process deliverables and tasks for Enterprise ERP Finance data. 
  • Coordinate involvement of Stryker SMEs and partners in key project activities. 
  • Accountable for leading the data design for Enterprise Finance Master Data. 
  • Participate in testing cycles to ensure Finance data accuracy and integrity across Stryker’s application and program portfolio. 
  • Participate in testing activities for Enterprise Finance Master Data and governance tools. 
  • Drive harmonized industry-best practice process across all divisions and geographies allowing minor configurations (as necessary) with no customizations. 
  • Responsible for development of training resources related to Enterprise Finance Master Data standards and design. 
  • Participate in M&A activities to assess the impact of Stryker’s Enterprise Finance Master Data standards on the integration process. 
  • Responsible for leading a small direct reporting team. 
  • Responsible for Enterprise Finance Master Data workflow and management design. 
  • ​Responsible for interacting and influencing key stakeholders (VP, Sr. Director, Director, etc.) around globally to educate, build consensus, make decisions, and execute plans and programs that make use of Enterprise Finance Master Data.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or related field required.
  • Master’s degree preferred.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum of 10 years in finance or other relevant work experience.
  • Deep understanding of finance governance, Master Data Management is highly beneficial. 
  • Significant experience in a leadership role(s) at the Assoc. Manager level or above.
  • Prior experience on an ERP, major business-system, or large-scale transformational projects or programs.
  • SAP experience (particularly SAP S4) preferred.
  • Broad experience across related processes areas to consider upstream and downstream impacts and implications.
  • ‘Player-manager’ type resource that can manage resources, track status as well as complete deliverables.
  • Leader that collaborates effectively across functions has strong influence skills, process orientation, and is able to build consensus and drive change.
  • Exhibits acute business acumen and understanding of organizational issues and challenges.
  • Ability to think strategically while operating tactically to implement a Global Template solution.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skillsets.
  • Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Aligned with program goals and principles.

  • Versatility and willingness to work with constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.

Please note that Accelerate is a unique program within Stryker.  While Portage, MI and Upper Saddle River, NJ are our preferred sites for this role, we are open to employees sitting in other Stryker locations.
