What You Will Do

The Product Inspector (Loaner Technician I) processes surgical sets to fulfill daily set orders and assists with other responsibilities held by Stryker’s Loaner Operations team.

  • Develops an understanding of all Stryker product offerings through the repetition of inspecting and inventorying incoming loaner surgical sets, beginning with small less complex sets then working up to larger sets containing both implants and instrumentations
  • Performs initial visual quality checks on instrumentation
  • Cleans any debris from instrumentation that the initial incoming sterilization process didn’t remove, ensuring that all medical devices handled are surgery ready
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

What You Will Need

  • Must possess a high school diploma; at least 1 year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills are essential. The ideal candidate pays close attention to detail, and is team and goal oriented.
  • Ability to follow detailed work instructions, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Must be detail oriented.

  • Ability to read, write and understand detailed work instructions and Good Manufacturing


  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (with an emphasis on Excel and ACCESS), Knowledge of ERP Systems (Oracle, JD Edwards)preferred

While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently required to use hands

to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is occasionally required to lift up to 30 pounds.

The vision requirements include: close vision, depth perception and ability to adjust

focus. This position may require operating in a clean room environment. Work is

normally performed in a typical light manufacturing environment.
