Job Description


Basic Function
In this role the candidate will be responsible for overseeing and having intimate knowledge around the global process of complaint entry, failure analysis, and data collection to drive customer satisfaction and provide feedback for various internal departments such as Failure Analysis, divisional quality and regulatory. This individual shall understand and utilize various metrics to measure device quality and seek to understand timely reports on reliability measurements, account performance, industry trends etc.  This candidate should have experience in face to face interaction with sales reps, sterile processing departments, internal engineering teams, marketing as well as experience with decontamination and sterilization regulations.
Data driven decisions and process changes are a requirement of this position. This role requires the understanding of how to acquire and partner with teams that produce data from ERP systems, cloud networks, electro-mechanical devices, etc. to seek a quantitative method to measure device and account performance. This person will create and maintain methods of utilizing software such as Tableau, Power BI, or ERP systems in conjunction with statistical methods, such as Survival Analysis or other similar industry methods such as sample size, to prioritize or de-prioritize evaluation activities based on select criteria. 
Use of failure analysis tools such as FAP, SEM, FTIR, CT, etc, are required in this position.  This individual will be expected to drive process to produce the most accurate and prompt summary of device specific performance, most accurate and timely “snapshot” of device field performance and with FAE, maintain the device evaluation process throughout a product’s lifecycle. 


Responsibilities
•    Develop a sustainable method to analyze complaints and conform to global regulations
•    Prioritize failure analysis activities to reduce costs and increase accuracy and timeliness of data
•    Manage and understand process around complaints and root cause identification
•    Understand and interact with global service process
•    Utilizing several QA functions, maintain relationships between Sales, Marketing, Depot and Global Service sites
•    Interact with R+D by providing data driven conclusions around device technicalities and global trends to align field requirements with design or Care Instructions
•    Monitor and understand warranty return rates and corelated processes
•    Secondary root cause analysis of failed components to support process or product changes
•    Work and share best practices cross-divisionally 
•    A passion for improving the decontamination process via multiple channels
o    Case Studies
o    Consumables or component selection, material choice, to improve device performance
o    Trial process and support of our Cleaner and Detergents portfolio through the use of Analytical Sciences Lab and Clinical Sciences.
o    White Papers
o    Data and sample collection during customer visits 
 
Physical Requirements
•    Light work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
•    Must have the ability to work with and assemble small objects and component parts.
•    Ability to operate in a fast paced environment, sometimes requiring extended work hours.


Mental Requirements
•    Must be able to observe and correct minute inconsistencies (e.g. in product components/performance, etc.).
•    Must be able to generate, follow and explain detailed instructions for product failure analysis.
•    Must be able to complete detailed documentation accurately.
•    Must be able to identify and analyze non-routine product issues using independent judgement and analysis equipment.
•    Must be able to analyze and resolve complex product failure issues of a broad scope using independent judgment.
•    Must be able to communicate product and/or component parts deficiencies to internal and external customers.
•    Must be able to plan, organize, and implement multiple concurrent tasks.


Qualifications/Work Experience Preferred
•    Excellent analytical skills.
•    Experience with ERP, raw data, and cloud-based data to drive reports and calculations
•    A passion for continuous improvement and ability to seek alternative methods to problem resolution  
•    Working knowledge of reliability measurements in devices that are serviced or non-serviced
•    Possess intimate knowledge of global cleaning and sterilization process requirements
•    Experience with data analytic software such as Tableau, Power BI, R Studio, excel
•    Effective interpersonal communications skills.
•    Blueprint/Engineering schematic reading and interpretation.
•    Basic inspection techniques.
•    Advanced PC skills, Microsoft Suite, Cloud based knowledge.
•    Demonstrated aptitude for problem solving and failure analysis
•    5 years of technical expiereice (MFG, Service, Analysis, etc.)


Education/Special Training Required
2 year degree in Technical or Science discipline preferred.
