Job Description

The sales intern is responsible for supporting cases and facilitating sales of stryker Endoscopy Products.

Responsibilities

  • Assists Sales Representatives in the marketing, promotion and sales of Stryker products with a specific focus on Procare. 
  • Utilize HR, rep and RM focus groups to provide a recommendation for a training and development plan for new reps.
  • Build relationships with sales, procrare, and marketing employees.
  • May assist in the preparation and operation of trade shows, conventions, and/or clinical meetings. 
  • Keeps Sales manager informed on project progress. 
  • Solves product problems for customers (in this case reps) in an expeditious fashion.
  • Must exhibit a base understanding of computers for best utilization of Stryker SIS program. 
  • Must adhere rigidly to all GMP policies and procedures as stipulated by the FDA. 

Physical requirements

  • Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a minimal amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, etc. 

Mental requirements

  • Excellent reading, writing, and quantitative skills.
  • Ability to review printed documents.

  • Must be able to observe and correct minute inconsistencies (ex: in the printed word).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate with large groups of people.

  • Demonstrated organizational skills.
  • Computer skills (PC) and related software.
  • Problem solving skills.

education/training required          

  • Junior in University with an interest in sales (medical related majors are preferable). 
  • Computer training. 
  • Medium work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. 
  • Must be able to communicate with large groups of people. 
  • Must be able to communicate telephonically. 
  • Must be able to use common office equipment (e.g. fax, modem, calculator, PC, etc.). 
  • Must be able to drive an automobile. 
  • Must be able to readily solve customer complaints. 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills. 
  • Excellent organizational skills.
