Job Description

The Customer Service Manager--to be based in Flower Mound, TX--plans, directs and manages all activities related to order management including project change orders, reporting, and team development.  Supervises a team of sales analysts.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops and/or ensures implementation of divisional customer service programs.
  • May act as a liaison between customers and manufacturing, sales, service, and accounting to resolve status, order accuracy, production, delivery and billing issues.
  • Evaluates customer/sales service performance results and ensures corrective action takes place in order to achieve goals.
  • Ensures effective administration of the sales service functions.
  • Has frequent contact with customers and sales teams, via telephone and email.
  • Ensures appropriate customer service training is conducted.
  • Submits periodic reports on the status of customer/sales service goal attainment and other related reports.
  • Utilizes the following equipment:  Computer (PC and MIS), related software, calculator, fax machine, telephone.
  • Responsible for implementing new systems and processes that support process improvements, cost reduction efforts, improved accuracy of order entry and/or revenue recognition, new products order entry.
  • Responsible for appropriate implementation of Quality Program as required by GMPs, ISO, DOH and other Regulatory requirements.
  • Responsible for successfully leading projects that are staffed with other departmental personnel.
  • Supervises (directly and through a subordinate loaner/repair supervisor) the employees in the Customer Service Department. 
  • Supervisory duties include selection of new employees, performance evaluations, career development, authorizes time cards, assigns overtime, involved in corrective action.

Skills/Experience:

  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Effective organizational skills.
  • Computer literate.
  • Leadership/supervisory skills.
  • General understanding of MIS.
  • 4-6 years related experience, preferably in a managerial role.

Education/training required

  • B.B.A. or B.S., preferably in business or related discipline.
  • MBA is desirable.
