What You Will Do:

Computer Aided Engineering Manager:

Works as part of the Global Instruments Engineering Services Leadership team to drive our Global CAE strategy.  Will manage a global team which consists of engineers, technicians and technical system administrators to provide world class services in the areas of Finite Element Analysis using mechanical / electrical / thermal / optical simulation, Design Drafting, Print creation, One PLM support, Software Licencing and Software administration for Instrument’s Global R&D teams. Will liaise with the Design, Process Development, Test Lab and Experimental teams to drive the use of simulation to reduce time to market through the reduction of prototype iterations and verification test samples.  Will liaise with other Stryker divisions to ensure we leverage infrastructure and best practices in computer aided engineering principles.    

Some additional responsibilities are:

  • Coordinating the activities of R&D personnel. 
  • Evaluates the performance of the team based on pre-established performance parameters. 
  • ​Coach and develop direct reports.
  • Responsible for direct reports complying with company policies and corrective actions.
  • Will submit periodic reports on areas of responsibility.
  • Interview, hire, train, develop and engage top talent while ensuring a pipeline of talent is established for future roles.

What You Need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Marketing, or Business, or equivalent; Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering preferred
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience
  • Demonstrated ability to lead/facilitate problem solving teams.
