Due to the internal promotion of the current Commercial Manager, the Netherlands we are looking to replace this role with a next talent for this exciting role based in Amsterdam.

This position reports to the Commercial Director the Netherlands and will work closely with all Sales Divisions for Stryker the Netherlands. You will act as Deputy to the Commercial Director when required.

You will facilitate commercial growth in the Netherlands by supporting the eight divisions in their daily commercial activities, maintaining the commercial overview, enabling cross divisional deals plus coordinate Key Account management. You will be responsible for: commercial management, key account management, contract & tender management, pricing policy & execution plus marketing & branding of Stryker in the Netherlands.

Next to this you will also:

  • Be responsible to manage and lead the Commercial Services Team existing of a Tender & Contracts specialist and a Pricing Specialist Benelux
  • Lead key account management and the development of strategic partnerships
  • Support Stryker franchises with driving cross divisional engagement for all hospitals in the Netherlands
  • Develop Commercial models for the hospitals
  • Provide the NL business with thought leadership on the ever-changing Procurement & Tender landscape and Future Operating Model
  • Support the Commercial Director with business opportunities on X-divisional deals, Managed Services and Solutions across the Netherlands
  • Be an ambassador for the implementation of Project Phoenix, the European Tender project
  • Pro-actively approach senior business stakeholders in the hospitals looking for opportunities to leverage Stryker and develop X-divisional deals.
  • Maintain the highest levels of engagement across all teams and support them with their development.
  • Ensure that all tender responses and framework offerings are managed in accordance with the Stryker Phoenix Tender approach and local requirements for the Netherlands. Development of high-quality bid / framework responses.




What you need:

  • You ideally bring a 10+ years’ experience in the MedTech Sales/Account Management and/or Tender Management area
  • You bring the energy and drive to deliver the best Tender management at Stryker Netherlands
  • You have at least a bachelor’s degree but preferably a master’s degree, combined with a proven track record in sales.
  • You are fluent in English and a native Dutch speaker
  • You are an analytical talent with a problem-solving mindset. With excellent presentation skills
  • Proven track record in project management and process improvement and will act as an entrepreneur with a curious and highly proactive behaviour
  • Strong collaborator and communicator across complex matrix organizations able to build trust and influence senior stakeholders within Stryker.
  • Meticulous attention to detail combined with experience in consultative and solution selling into the Hospitals preferable.
