Job Description

What you will do 

  • As a part of our international robotics project team you are acting as a biomechanical expert for complex medical software applications for preoperative planning of robotic assisted orthopedic surgery. 
  • In your role you will be responsible for system analysis, system behavior and requirements definition with a strong focus on biomechanical requirements and related statistical analysis. 
  • You will drive the application integration into the robotic and cloud enabled system.
  • You will collaborate with Marketing and Surgeons to analyze and define user needs and translate those according to your deep medical understanding into specific technical requirements for our system.  
  • As a member of our agile development teams you will support our software engineering team to find the best design solutions. 
  • Together with our testing team you strategize the verification roadmap to verify the application accuracy. 
  • You are working very closely together with international interfaces in the U.S and India. 

What you need 

  • You have successfully completed your degree in (Bio)mechanical engineering, Medical Technology/Informatics/Science, Physics or other relevant field of study. 
  • You have initial working experiences within the Medical Technology Industry with a strong focus on biomechanical requirements. Alternatively, you have been working in the medical sector and are willing and strongly interested to enter the industry. 
  • You have ideally proven experience in System/Requirements Engineering. 
  • We are also open for strong talents from university who have gained relevant experiences during their studies.  
  • You are a structural thinker with focus on finding pragmatic solutions, you are able to organize yourself independently and you love to take on responsibility. 
  • You enjoy working in multicultural and cross-site teams, you are able to communicate effectively across all levels and you have a natural talent for establishing and maintaining strategic partnerships.  
  • In addition to your fluent English skills, you also have ideally a good understanding of German.
