What you will do-

This newly created role is responsible for developing & implementing Stryker Instruments’ ProCare Supply Chain Strategy, assuming budget responsibility and creating a centralized execution function for ProCare.  This role will perform supply chain and logistics functions, which may include, but are not limited to, material procurement, inventory planning, inventory control, outsourcing, vendor selection and distribution. Looking for this role to create integrated processes among internal functions such as service, operations, purchasing and logistics, and outside suppliers. Promotes alignment by understanding and communicating customer needs and requirements throughout the organization.

This is a management position that contributes and achieves results through others. The role is responsible for supporting and leading subordinates to desired outcomes. The job has full management of a team, including management of people, defining roles and responsibilities, planning for the department's future needs and operations, counselling employees on performance and contributing to employee pay decisions or changes.

Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Forecast and manage the budget for ProCare inventory and component parts
  • Inventory management strategy within service center(s), field inventory, and inventory placed with authorized providers
  • Domestic and International shipments of ProCare service products to customers
  • Scope of management oversight
  • •Inbound raw materials into service warehouse and service centers
  • •Outbound serviced equipment to internal and external customers
  • Leverage scope and scale of global transportation
  • Provide input, strategy, tools and efficiency opportunities
  • Actively manage the performance of supply chain partners
  • Channel the needs internal and external customers in all designs and initiatives
  • Hold regular business reviews with stakeholders
  • Collaborate with, Operations,  Inventory COE and Demand Teams to make effective supply chain decisions
  • Collaborate with other ProCare teams to develop ProCare Supply Chain Strategy

What you need-

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 6+ years of related experience within supply chain/logistics
  • Experience in operating within a global, multi-divisional Supply Chain
  • Manufacturing management, buying, demand planning, production planning is preferred
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies and cost reduction methodologies
  • SAP knowledge preferred.
  • Strong Microsoft office skills required, particularly Excel.
  • Self-starter, highly motivated, and able to see problems and recommend or take appropriate actions to solve them, ability to work in detail and be result oriented.
  • Ability to analyze data and identify potential issues and make solution recommendations
