Job Description: The Associate Manager, Medical Education Specialist defines and delivers a comprehensive Medical Education program in collaboration with other marketing team members and cross-functional partners.  Plans and executes the educational events, Stryker product training, sales training, and third party educational conferences within a defined budget. Will be the outward facing contact for our Regional Managers and Sales Force in Medical Education.  Will perform all activity in accordance with Stryker compliance standards, Advamed Code, and all national and state regulations.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Foster relationship with other Divisions and education entities to ensure seamless education events to end customers including scheduling staff, equipment logistics, onsite event coordination and post event follow up.
  • Has overall responsibility and coordination to designated education events based on area of responsibility.  This may include travel to event area and work responsibility outside the parameters of a normal workweek.
  • Oversee the coordination with Med Ed, Marketing Managers, Marketing Associates, Regional Managers, Sales Force and cross division partners to manage product placement and ensure proper products and in-servicing occur at events.
  • Oversee the completion all required paperwork and communication to fulfill compliance committee and grant committee requirements has been completed as it relates to educational program grants & donations, facility agreements, research agreements and consulting agreements. 
  • Oversee with inventory management and control through submitting accurate packlists and utilization of products and disposables to maintain budget.
  • Works closely with Med Ed/Marketing Managers to develop key relationships with necessary consultants and recommend appropriate HCP’s.
  • Leads in the development and coordination of new product and educational trainings that provide solutions to our customers.
  • Maintains a current understanding of related compliance/transparency regulations and ensures adherence in all participating events.
  • Provides timely responses to internal and external customers with an expert knowledge of procedures and guidelines as it relates to interaction and support.
  • Continuously improve and represent the Med Ed brand to internal and external customer.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • 7+ years relevant experience required.
  • Intermediate understanding of event coordination, trade shows, marketing and medical education preferred.
  • Exercise discretion and independence when applying professional expertise.
  • Must be able to manage time, projects, stress and conflict.
  • Must possess strong interpersonal skills including written and oral communication.
  • Must be able to bring tasks through to completion with minimal supervision.
  • Must have the ability to prioritize work and keep detailed and confidential records.
  • Must be able to communicate / present to large groups of people.
