The Associate Manager, Sales Compensation will be responsible for providing support with the modeling, development, communicating and promoting of all sales compensation plans, the establishment, maintenance, and communication of sales goals, development and administration of sales contests, and overall ownership of Stryker’s Neurovascular annual Sales Awards Program. This role involves significant interaction with sales managers, sales reps and Home Office employees who support the sales organization.

What You Will Do

  • Lead the annual commission plan and quota design cycle, performing analyses to inform potential plan improvements, design, and quota changes: working with executive leaders to understand strategic business objectives, assessing the success of current incentives, proposing new incentive designs, securing final decisions and approvals, and communicating new incentives to leaders and employees
  • Support ongoing quota setting process.  Provide analysis in order to ensure fair and appropriate allocation of sales quota across the sales organization.
  • Support and improve processes related to performance tracking and commission calculations for the sales organization.  Investigate commission discrepancies and provide recommendations on how to optimize commission calculations
  • Conduct quarterly sales compensation analysis to include distribution showing performance to plan vs. payout, composition of payout, and annual run-rate to determine future period compensation plan revisions while also ensuring overall program is motivational and aligned with business operating plan.
  • Develop and communicate effective sales compensation tools for the sales organization such as: compensation plans and income projection models and provide training on the use of these tools.
  • Work with field sales management to create territory alignments.  Combine quantitative tools and feedback from field stakeholders to optimize territory sizing and maximize growth. 
  • Utilizing a variety of different statistical methods, provide annual cost projections of sales incentive programs to support the corporate budgeting process.
  • Development and administration of all mid-year sales contests and ancillary SPIFF programs
  • Ownership of the end to end sales awards program which entails the annual evaluation of the existing award program, partnership with sales leadership on modifications to the existing program and recommendations for new awards, development of the program guide, monthly stack rankings, and facilitation of the annual banquet at the National Sales Meeting.

What Stryker is Looking For:

•Bachelor’s Degree Required / MBA or equivalent preferred

•5-7 years or more relevant experience highly desirable

•Proficient in Microsoft Office (i.e. Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
•Ability to document, organize and communicate with a high attention to detail
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•Strong analytical and problem solving skills
•Demonstrated experience with continuous improvement and self-development
•Demonstrated ability to work effectively and build strong relationships with internal, cross-functional partners
•Exercises tact, discretion and judgment in accordance with legal, ethical and financial standards 

•Proven leadership abilities with teams and processes
•Project/Program management
•Experience working with statistical software

•Medical device experience with implants and the Neurovascular specialty a major plus

Work From Home: Occasional

Travel Percentage: 10%
