Your key responsibilities

  • Actively participate to Flash calls and other month end and projection calls/meeting with Europe Finance Leadership Team.
  • Manage a Financial Analyst, focusing on his growth and developing his soft and technical skills.
  • Analyze financial data and consistently present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Provide analytical explanation of variances between actual results and forecasts/budgets.
  • Prepare, review and distribute monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports to all appropriate stakeholders, working closely with Director, Finance and other accounting staff.
  • Provide performance measures and interpret results in view of plans and objectives.
  • Lead the revenue reporting, expense reporting, annual budgeting, and strategic planning activities.
  • Analyze and communicate key business drivers to enable business leaders to effectively manage their budgets.
  • Partner with Sales senior management and provide value added strategic suggestions on areas of improvement and cost efficiencies.
  • Build and develop a strong environment of collaboration and partnership with local and divisional finance teams.

The successful candidate will have

  • Master’s degree in Finance/Business related subjects.
  • An accounting qualification (e.g. CPA or CMA) is preferred.
  • Fluent spoken and written Italian and English, ideally with experiences abroad (during studies or job).
  • COGNOS, Danube, Oracle or SAP systems and HFM knowledge is a big plus.
  • 4-6 years of relevant working experience in a finance function, ideally in a matrixed international company (preferably American or Multinational company).
  • Experiences with complex reporting practices and with exposure to various reporting systems and an understanding of how these tie in to the business.
  • Strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills, attention to detail and ability to communicate complicated issues effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform consistently under varying business pressure as well as ability to adapt to a quickly changing environment.
  • Leadership qualities.
