Job Description

Basic Function

Develops, implements, maintains and evaluates accounting systems and procedures and ensures the accurate compilation, analysis and reporting of accounting data.  Also helps manage inventory, prepare and review account reconciliations in BlackLine, headcount management, and support business partners.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops and implements accounting control procedures over accounting systems and control methods.
  • Reviews and controls some or all, inventory, headcount management, and BlackLine account reconciliations.
  • Compiles and/or oversees the compilation of periodic financial statements and prepares and submits appropriate operating reports and/or budgetary input.
  • Acts as a liaison between the company and outside auditors in providing the required information and ensuring that the proper information is maintained for historical purposes.
  • May conduct periodic and/or special studies/ analysis.
  • Trains others in general accounting guidelines, cost accounting and procedures.
  • Updates and resolves accounting related issues for international divisions.
  • Submits periodic reports on assigned topics to management.
  • Optimize accounting cycles, streamline and enhance ERP systems
  • Supervisory Responsibilities

Education/Special Training Required:

B.B.A. or B.S. in business with an emphasis in accounting.

Professional certification or related advanced course work in accounting

Qualifications/Work Experience Preferred:

  • 7+ years of Finance Experience
  • 3+ years of cost accounting experienced preferred
  • Excellent mathematical and analytical skills
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent Microsoft office application skills
  • Accounting related software experience (PRMS or SAP)
  • Excel (spreadsheet applications)
  • Advanced analytical and data interpretation capabilities, including advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access (preferred, not required).
  • Ability to interact with and influence others to drive change.
