Key Activities & Accountabilities

Within the Shared Service concept and reporting to the Accounts Payable Manager, the mission of the Manager AP GQO is to lead an organization responsible to ensure the accuracy, reliability and integrity of the Accounts payable invoice processing for several reporting entities across Europe. This role also supervises the High-Risk payment process for the whole EMEA.

The Accounts Payable Manager also needs to establish and implement an effective system of internal controls and ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles, Stryker policies and procedures and any applicable laws and regulations. Last, the expectation of this role is also to drive cost efficiency with procedure simplification, process standardization and systems opportunities.

  • Responsible for HR supervisory responsibilities of teams ranging from 25 to 30 employees with 3 to 4 direct reports
  • Ensures the strategy of the department is effectively implemented by ensuring consistent communication, reinforcement and management of defined objectives
  • Acts as back up and representative for Senior Manager P2P on a need by basis
  • Monitors staff resource planning, organizing, and monitoring of key processes, including hiring, training, and evaluating staff
  • Build analytical capabilities within the team and drives ongoing procedure simplification and process standardization
  • Develop the partnership with the GQO organization (several sites across Europe)
  • Ensures an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year-end close aligned with A2R GQO
  • Analyze the impacts of projects onto the teams, and validates the implementation
