What you will do

As a Test Engineer – Mechanical will be responsible for developing and executing robust verification and validation test strategies including test systems and application of statistics and risk management techniques to test complete or developmental products.

  • You will review and evaluate project requirements documentation for testability
  • You will provide input throughout the new product development process from a test perspective.
  • You will develop robust verification and validation test strategies to ensure a safe, reliable product is being developed
  • You will generate appropriate test protocols/test cases to properly test the product and the corresponding test reports
  • You will document, and track defects found during test execution to ensure proper disposition
  • You will develop and implement test systems and fixtures  
  • You will have some involvement in training others on testing topics

What you need

  • B.S. in engineering or engineering technology related discipline. Mechanical
  • 3 + years of experience in a design/test engineering environment or in quality engineering role in a regulated environment
  • Experience with medical device development and testing preferred
  • Knowledge of risk analysis, design verification and validation testing, root cause analysis and statistics
  • Equipment/Process validation experience; preferred knowledge of GHTF approach to validation
  • Demonstrated ability to operate small hand tools and test/inspection equipment
  • Working knowledge of FDA, ISO, and other regulations and standards
  • ASQ Certifications (CQE, CRE, CSSBB) preferred not required
