What you will do-

Responsible for team performance in the areas of quality, delivery and performance to budget, team building, employee engagement, new product implementation, capacity and production planning. Adheres to quality and quantity standards and follows guidelines to meet product specifications.

Responsible for ensuring individuals and team as a whole consistently achieves or exceeds all performance metrics as applicable.  Metrics may include, but are not limited to, first pass yield, customer backorder, reliability, service parts, defects per million, component availability, budgets, productivity, unit efficiency, inventory, cost reduction, revenue, process validation, and production and process controls.

  • Attend daily operations meetings and communicate business results /metrics clearly at all levels of the operations business. Must be able to collect various metrics and compile to forecast business needs.
  • May be responsible for additional oversight of business unit, which may include multiple teams. Will contribute to strategic plans and manufacturing programs.
  • Ability to anticipate and predict business results based data, planning and demand forecasts.
  • Analyze and identify levers to impact metrics/action plans to improve metrics and project impacts.
  • Ability to manage the technical aspects of the business, understand root cause of potential issues, and implement resolution.
  • Will be responsible for directing work of Manufacturing Process Leads to ensure alignment and execution of day-to-day operations.
  • Able to anticipate and line down issues and partner with support staff to avoid delays to production.
  • Personnel management including employee development and performance which includes communicating company policies, coaching and counseling, administering performance appraisals, conducting talent reviews, Individual Development Plans and enforcing company policies through appropriate disciplinary measures, with guidance.
  • Accountable for team training compliance and guidance to team members, while ensuring a proper tracking of competencies.
  • Focuses on customer satisfaction through teamwork and empowerment, solving problems through a consultative approach, operating with honesty and integrity and providing a highly responsive and unsurpassed level of customer service.
  • Partner with other business unit leaders on projects or plant initiatives to align all operations business units.
  • Fill in for Business Unit/Operations Manager as needed.
  • Be able to forecast and predict recruitment needs of temporary and permanent talent to the team for conversion. Responsible for the recruitment and hiring of temporary and permanent talent to the team for conversion.
  • Adhere to standards of training and providing documentation, continuous performance enhancement, and reliability.  These activities may include, but are not limited to the following: audits, calibration, and preventive maintenance.
  • Drive employee engagement initiatives and activities to promote an environment that fosters personal growth and development.
  • Accountable for all record-keeping as appropriate and in accordance with Stryker specifications.
  • Ensures compliance with established regulatory, quality, legal, corporate, and human resources policies and procedures.

What you need-

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (Bachelor's degree in applicable field strongly preferred)
  • 3+ years of leadership experience
  • Demonstrated leadership characters and capabilities
  • Excellent organization, planning, communication, project management and performance attainment in a manufacturing or logistics environment
  • Previous manufacturing experience preferred
  • Moderate PC skills
