GENERAL SUMMARY:

You will also have the opportunity for growth through our aggressive compensation plan with uncapped earning potential. Stryker is the leader in lifesaving and emergency medicine technology, data solutions, and services. The company’s products include LIFEPAK® monitor/defibrillators and automated external defibrillators (AEDs), LUCAS® Chest Compression Systems, the LIFENET® System, HealthEMS ePCR, HeartSine® AEDs, and more.  In addition to these products, you also have the ability to sell Power-Pro cots, Power-Loads, & Evacuation Chairs when used in the hospital space.  Emergency Care Hospital sales representatives use a consultative approach to help customers address patient-care, clinical, and operational challenges, and recommend a tailored solution that demonstrates measurable results. Our unique, clinically-driven approach ensures that our customers will be delighted and you will achieve your personal and professional goals.  

MAJOR DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and execute a business plan that is designed to meet and exceed financial, market, and product portfolio goals for your respective territory.
  • Effective territory planning to ensure retention and penetration of existing accounts, cultivation of new customers, and the conversion of competitive accounts.
  • Work with customers to develop, implement and train on solutions to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Work cross- functionally with team members including field services reps, sales, and internal support functions.
  • Utilize CRM and other methods for planning, forecasting and business intelligence in order to support strategic and tactical decisions.
  • Participates in sales workshops, sales meetings, and/or      promotional activities as requested by Manager and/or Marketing Leadership and Medical Division.
  • Provides current customers with excellent post-sale follow up (communication and management of delivery dates, in-service training, and coordinates product repairs).
  • Actively participates in national, state, and local Hospital trade shows.  For local trade shows may be solely responsible for transportation, set-up, and demonstration of Hospital products.
  • Effectively manages assigned territory via planning, coordination, and overnight travel.
  • Expected to contribute to the learning and development of teammates by providing best practices and lessons learned.
  • Aligns and drives to Stryker's Mission and Vision Statement.
  • Committed to quality by striving to provide the best customer experience possible.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3 years of successful selling experience in either capital equipment or a medical devices company.
  • A four (4) year degree in science, business, or related discipline.    
  • Good driving record.
  • All Sales Account Managers must comply with the Salesforce Automation Policy in Emergency Care to personally obtain a computer that meets the minimum Stryker Medical qualifications outlined in the policy. 

PREFERRED/DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Demonstrated track record of performance and success.
  • Must possess excellent presentation, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent time management skills with ability to use independent judgment effectively.
  • Strong inter-personal communication skills, specifically relating to stress management, people management, and conflict management.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop both internal and external long-term customer relationships.
  • Proven skills in working independently on several projects and presentations simultaneously.
  • Prior experience using Salesforce.com or other CRM system.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Frequent travel 20-25% of the time inclusive of overnight stays and weekends.
  • Ability to work out of a home office. This will include maintaining an inventory and storage of demo products and literature.
  • Ability to lift up to 40lbs.
