Create and lead the Program Management function for Commercial and R&D teams for the fast growing Global Acute Care Business Unit with a revenue of $800M.

  • Develop, implement and maintain a strategic plan for the portfolio, program or projects
  • Foster and develop a team community which allows the team members to effectively share information and collaborate on business issues across the programs
  • Provide general direction for completion of appropriate program documentation (e.g. charter, roadmap, benefits map, etc) to meet business goals and program objectives
  • Understand competitive landscape and trends. Position programs effectively in marketing and business development efforts.
  • Coordinates with partners/end users to deliver value to business through opportunity identification, solution delivery, and ongoing support
  • Communicates and sets expectations across divisions, functions, 3rd party vendors, consulting partners, project teams, and stakeholders depending on program needs
  • Responsible for portfolio resource planning including work load allocation and capacity planning to help determine project sequencing in the program
  • Responsible to improve team performance by building team cohesiveness, leading, influencing and training
  • Acts as an escalation point; drives collaboration with program and project team members to resolve conflicts, project issues, and deviations and drives them to resolution.
  • Seeks out ways to continually improve processes from lessons learned, bench marking, community discussions, etc. to meet or exceed organizational and customer needs
  • May be responsible for managing project managers and project personnel, as well as lead indirect resources


  • 10+ years demonstrated management experience in at least one discipline (Finance, Marketing, Procurement, IT, R&D, Ops, etc.)
  • Successfully led multiple projects and preferred program management experience
  • Master’s degree is preferred; Bachelor's required
  • Program Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent such as MSP is a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to develop a strategic vision for a department and lead the resulting process and structure changes for the organization
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and navigate complex interpersonal and political issues
  • Demonstrated versatility and a willingness to manage and lead a team through change and ambiguity
  • Excellent interpersonal communication, collaborative team work, conflict management, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to present to, influence and build trusting relationships with executives
  • Demonstrated ability to generate and explain complex opportunity analysis and value assessment.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor, train, and develop direct and indirect team members
