What you will do-

The Procurement Manager will be responsible for leading Stryker’s Redmond Purchasing team, including material replenishment, inventory levels, planning, and supporting sustaining initiatives.  This position is responsible for supporting and implement purchasing strategies to reduce the total cost of both direct and indirect materials, while providing the right parts in the right quantities at the right time to support the Operations team.

Major responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement purchasing programs that drive highest quality, lowest total cost and highest on-time delivery performance
  • Support new product development through cross functional team engagement, scheduling of component changes and proactively establishing new product introduction inventory plans
  • Plan and implement component end of life strategies and prototype processing with selected suppliers
  • Manage up to 8 direct reports
  • Manage Inventory Replenishment systems, improve MRP effectiveness, and maintain Supplier Visualization programs.
  • Manage MRO and OEM purchasing processes
  • Establish inventory targets, monitor and manage inventory turns/days of inventory, maintain re-order levels and minimize excess and obsolete risks
  • Monitor, report and take actions to continuously improve supplier delivery performance
  • Financial budgeting and monitoring of department expenses
  • Develop, maintain, and improve policies and procedures for the operation of department activities
  • Fulfill departmental staffing requirements, provides coaching and conducts performance appraisals
  • Facilitates career progression for direct team.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

What you need-

  • Bachelor's degree in applicable discipline required
  • 5+ years of experience in supply chain management activities required
  • 3+ years of supervisory experience required

Preferred qualifications:

  • Thorough understanding of Supply Chain Management operational concepts surrounding production planning, inventory control, purchasing, logistics, and trade compliance
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing concepts and tool sets as they relate to materials management
  • Exhibits drive for continuous improvement and demonstrated capability to lead improvement projects
  • Ability to drive collaboration across all teams
  • Strong leadership, customer service, problem solving communication, negotiation, tact, judgment and organizational skills

Work From Home: Occasional

Travel Percentage: 10%
