As an integral part of the Accelerate initiative, the Manager, ERP Change Management Lead, Sustainment is responsible for contributing to the overall change management strategy and leading the overall change management approach and communications for identified business groups and key stakeholders post deployment.  The successful candidate must be able to understand Stryker’s business needs and work collaboratively with Stryker’s divisions, internal teams and external consultants as needed to create long-lasting change management strategies and plans of action and ensure they are effectively implemented.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Support the current users and the program by collaborating with business owners and process SMEs to identify and document minor or major release change impacts (commercial template, business process, end user, and/or organizational impacts) and support the mitigation activities to closure. 
  • Coordinate closely with program and with the applicable business owner or workstream lead to assess the degree of impact, the scope of people impacted, and to define People mitigation plans accordingly.
  • Define, drive, and track all People/Change mitigation actions to closure.
  • Identify change barriers program wide/ WS specific. Identify mitigation actions (e.g., lack of employee engagement, communication needs, organizational history, culture considerations, unfavorable program perceptions, and tangential projects), key stakeholders and influencers in the business by leading a stakeholder assessment.
  • Ensure that business owners/ key program partners are aware of these findings and aligned.
  • Drive leadership alignment between the program and within the businesses impacted by the changes.
  • Lead the organizational change readiness evaluation (via surveys or focus groups, for example), taking the timeline of key program activities and Go/No-Go decisions into consideration.
  • Lead the creation, maintenance, and execution of the communication plan in partnership with overall program communication plan that promotes end user and stakeholder buy-in for changes. Coordinate with other Change Leads, Accelerate team, and/or Affiliated programs as needed. 
  • Review and provide input to the change management work plan and provide weekly status updates.


  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field required.
  • Master’s degree preferred.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience in the change management area with demonstrated track record of leading or supporting organizational change initiatives.
  • 10+ years of overall work experience with demonstrated propensity to take on increasing responsibility and expanded scope.
  • Experience and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies and tools.
  • Exhibits acute business acumen and understanding of organizational issues and challenges.  Must be able to understand Stryker’s business needs.
  • Must be able to lead cross-divisional teams of people to work toward common goals without having direct control over them.
  • Must be able to work collaboratively with Stryker’s divisions, internal teams and external consultants as needed to create strategies and plans of action and ensure they are implemented.
  • Must have the ability to complete all projects on time, on scope and on budget and meet all business requirements.
  • Must have the ability to move quickly without compromising quality.
  • Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Ability to establish rapport, network and build strong relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence others.
  • Versatility and ability to adjust priorities quickly and manage multiple stakeholder needs.
  • Strong attention to detail is a must.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills.

Please note that Accelerate is a unique program within Stryker.  While Portage, MI is the preferred sites for this role, we are open to employees sitting in other Stryker locations.
